The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you
on Deuteronomy 28:7-8
Enemies come out one way and flee seven, and verse 25 turns the sentence around so that Israel is the one fleeing. Seven in that idiom carries completeness, not a count of roads. The blessing of verse 8 is decreed, and it lands on the barns and on everything “to which you put your hand”, work already under way.
