Laban enters the book here. He rushed out to the man, and the reason follows next, that he had seen the ring and her bracelets. Then comes the welcome: you who are blessed by the LORD. He will bargain over Jacob's wages for twenty years in chapters 29 to 31.

Laban greets the servant as blessed by the LORD, the covenant name, and says he has a house ready and a place for the camels. Jamieson, Fausset and Brown took the family's words in this chapter as a sign that they worshipped the LORD. Laban also keeps household gods, at 31:19.
