A comprehensive summary of the covenant of grace, which shall be made known to the Jews at the time of their conversion, and the blessings of it applied to them, and bestowed on them; though now a "loammi", Hos 1:9, is written upon them; see Jer 30:21.

on Jeremiah 32:36-41
“Now therefore” turns the oracle from indictment to promise. The everlasting covenant gives “one heart and one way,” so obedience is a gift, as in the new covenant of chapter 31. Verse 41 names the LORD's gladness, in words rare in the book: “I will rejoice in doing them good.”

They will be My people
This is the covenant formula of Jeremiah 31:33, and Gill calls it a summary of the covenant of grace. He sets it against the name Lo-ammi of Hosea 1:9, which declared Israel cut off. The name is given back.

The Church Fathers1 voice
(Verse 37 and following) Behold, I will gather them from all the lands to which I have driven them in my anger, in my wrath, and in great indignation, and I will bring them back to this place and make them dwell securely. They will be my people, and I will be their God. And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and for the good of their children after them.

"And, to make them truly, completely, and eternally happy, I will be their God. " They shall serve and worship God as theirs and cleave to him only, and he will approve himself theirs. All he is, all he has, shall be engaged and employed for their good. [2.] God will give them a heart to fear him,
