Deuteronomy 10:6-7 names these camps in the other order and puts Aaron's death at Moserah, where verse 38 puts it at Mount Hor. Keil and Delitzsch read Moserah as the district around Mount Hor.

Abronah appears only in this verse and the next, and Adam Clarke notes it is mentioned nowhere else. Its site is unknown. Origen reads the name as passage, since even good things must be passed through on the way to better ones.
