Deuteronomy 10:6-7 names these camps in the other order and puts Aaron's death at Moserah, where verse 38 puts it at Mount Hor. Keil and Delitzsch read Moserah as the district around Mount Hor.

Deuteronomy 10:6 calls this camp Beeroth Bene-jaakan, which Adam Clarke renders the wells of the children of Jaakan. There the order runs the other way, from Bene-jaakan to Moserah. John Gill, following Jarchi, reads the two lists as the people going backwards and forwards between the camps.
