on Ezekiel 16:20-22
The charge reaches child sacrifice: “You even took the sons and daughters you bore to Me and sacrificed them as food to idols.” Beneath it lies the root: “you did not remember the days of your youth when you were naked and bare, wallowing in your own blood.”

The closing words return to verse 6, where the infant lay in her own blood until the LORD spoke. Deuteronomy 8:11-14 warned that prosperity would make Israel forget the God who brought her out of Egypt. Verse 43 repeats the charge.
