ASV

There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus.

KJV

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

A note on the manuscripts

Most scholars agree

"No condemnation" — with a condition, or without one?

Some manuscripts add "who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" to the end of Romans 8:1; the earliest do not, and the words are Paul's own, from three verses later.

What it changes: No doctrine, the clause is genuine Pauline teaching either way, printed in full in verse 4 where nobody disputes it.
