For the breastpiece they made braided chains like cords of pure gold
on Exodus 39:15-21
Rings, braided chains and a cord of blue yarn bind the breastpiece to the ephod. The paragraph ends on its one purpose clause among seven verses of fastenings, that it would not swing out from the ephod.

The last pair of rings goes on the ephod itself, low on the shoulder pieces and just above the waistband. Exodus 28:27 gave this place. These rings anchor the lower edge.
