The breastpiece carries the names again on twelve stones. Exodus 28:29 says Aaron bears them over his heart when he enters the Holy Place.

The gemstones follow the order set at 28:17, four rows of three stones, and this chapter names them in the same order. Adam Clarke explains each stone in his notes on that earlier verse. The twelve stones carry the twelve tribes, by verse 14.
