Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses

on Exodus 39:33-41

Everything is carried to Moses and listed piece by piece, from the tent to the courtyard. John Gill reads the bringing as an inspection, so Moses could see whether the work matched the pattern shown on the mountain. The list closes on the woven garments, where the chapter began.

The two bronze vessels of the courtyard arrive together, the altar with its grating and poles and the basin with its stand. Their bronze was counted at Exodus 38:29-30, and the basin's came from the women's mirrors at 38:8. Moses sets both outside the tent at Exodus 40:29-30.
