on Exodus 39:15-21
Rings, braided chains and a cord of blue yarn bind the breastpiece to the ephod. The paragraph ends on its one purpose clause among seven verses of fastenings, that it would not swing out from the ephod.

Verses 16 to 21 fasten the breastpiece at four points, two rings at the upper corners and two at the lower. This verse sets the upper pair. Exodus 28:23 ordered rings for these two corners.
