on Judges 6:7-10
The prophet is unnamed, says nothing of a rescue, and never appears again. His speech follows the angel's at 2:1-3: out of Egypt, delivered from every oppressor, given the land, then charged with disobedience. The charge is exact, "You must not fear the gods of the Amorites".

The verse speaks of the hands of Egypt, and the chapter keeps returning to that word. Verse 1 gives Israel into the hand of Midian, and verse 14 sends Gideon to save Israel from the hand of Midian. Egypt and Midian are described in the same terms.
