Are you really my son Esau
on Genesis 27:24-25
Isaac asks a second time whether this is really his son Esau, and he replied, I am. Gill records an old attempt to soften those two words into something short of a lie, and rejects it outright. The father then eats the goat, and the blessing is one verse away.
