Cornelius retells the vision almost word for word, down to the ninth hour of prayer named in verse 3. He ends ready to hear everything the Lord has instructed Peter to tell them.

Cornelius repeats the angel's directions from verses 5 and 6 closely, down to the tanner's house by the sea. John Gill and Bede note that some copies add a promise that Peter would speak to him when he came. The BSB leaves that line out.
