So I fell down before the LORD
on Deuteronomy 9:25-27
The prayer asks nothing on Israel's account. Moses pleads what God has already spent, "Your people, Your inheritance, whom You redeemed through Your greatness", and the three names of the oath.

O Lord GOD, do not destroy Your people
Moses opens the prayer with O Lord GOD and grounds his one request in what God had already done. Each clause names God's own act: the people, the inheritance, the redemption and the mighty hand are all His.
