Azariah did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father Amaziah had done. The LORD afflicted the king with leprosy. Where Kings gives no reason, 2 Chronicles 26:16 to 21 gives one: pride carried him past the priests into the sanctuary to burn incense.
