Pekah son of Remaliah, conspired against him
on 2 Kings 15:25-26
Pekah was his own king's officer, and he struck at the citadel of the king’s palace with fifty men of Gilead. Gilead lies east of the Jordan. Tiglath-pileser takes it in Pekah's own reign, so the men who put him on the throne came from land he later lost.

Pekahiah's two years run from Azariah's fiftieth year at verse 23 to his fifty-second at verse 27, and the two dates agree. Menahem's house lasted about twelve years, ten for the father and two for the son. It ended in the palace citadel.
