So they are reckoned in 1Ch 6:18 though only the family of the Hebronites are mentioned in Num 26:58. and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred and thirty three years. Kohath is the line that leads to Moses and Aaron, through his son Amram. The verse names his four sons and gives his age at death. John Gill notes that the ancient historian Polyhistor, citing Demetrius, gives Kohath the same age.
