on Deuteronomy 12:26-28
Holy things and vows go up to the chosen place, where verse 27 puts the blood on the altar or beside it. Within ten verses the same blood is poured on the ground or at the altar, and the altar is the whole difference. Verse 28 closes the section with the book's recurring promise “so that it may always go well with you”.

The burnt offering went wholly to the altar, meat and blood together, as Leviticus 1:9 directs. The peace offerings of Leviticus 3 and 7 gave their blood to the altar and their meat to the table. Gill reports that Aben Ezra read verse 26 this way.

The unclean - Because there was, no holiness in such meat for which the unclean might be excluded from it.

But this signified the obligation we Christians are under to offer up all our spiritual sacrifices to God in the name of Jesus Christ, hoping for acceptance only upon the score of his mediation, 1 Pet. ii. They are commanded to feast upon their hallowed things before the Lord, with holy joy.
