2 notes on this verseAs the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua,.... Which was to destroy the people of the land, Deu 7:1, so did Joshua, he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses; both with respect to the destruction of the people, and of all their images, pictures, altars, groves, and high places; see Exo 34:11.
This site's exposition
so did Moses command Joshua
The chain of command is written out in one verse, from God to Moses to Joshua, and every link is said to have held. He left nothing undone occurs once in the whole King James Bible and it sits here. Joshua 13:1 opens with there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed, spoken to the same man about the same country, and both sentences stand in the same book with neither correcting the other.
