the news reached Pharaoh’s house
on Genesis 45:16-18
Pharaoh and his servants are pleased at the news, and the invitation comes from Pharaoh himself. He gives them the best of Egypt's land and the fat of the land to eat. Exodus 1:8 has a king of Egypt who did not know Joseph, and he holds this family in.

Pharaoh makes the grant before he has seen one of them. The promise is kept at 47:6, when he settles the family in the best part of the land, in Goshen. The fat of the land means its choicest produce.
