on Exodus 9:29-30
Moses grants the request and then tells Pharaoh that he and his officials still do not fear the LORD. Fear is the word used at verse 20 of the officials who obeyed.

Moses agrees to pray, yet he tells Pharaoh that he sees through the confession of verse 27. Pharaoh and his officials still do not fear the LORD, and verse 34 proves Moses right. Adam Clarke asks who could have imagined that Pharaoh would harden his heart after such a confession.
