Secondly, It is universal obedience to Christ that is the only acceptable obedience; to obey him in every thing that he commands us, not excepting, much less excepting against, any command. Concerning the disciples' love one to another, enjoined as an evidence of their love to Christ, and a grateful return for his love to them.
