Hurai from the brooks of Gaash
on 1 Chronicles 11:32-38
The names continue in the same terse form Samuel gives them. Each man is marked only by father, hometown or clan, as in Hurai from the brooks of Gaash and Ahiam son of Sachar the Hararite. Chronicles keeps the list as a roll of honor.
This site's exposition
Hepher the Mecherathite
2 Samuel 23:34 names Eliam son of Ahithophel the Gilonite, and Chronicles has Hepher and Ahijah in this part of the list. Ahithophel was David's counselor who joined Absalom's revolt (2 Samuel 15:12). Mecherathite appears nowhere else.

3 Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the L ORD ; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the L ORD by Samuel. 4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land.
