on Genesis 43:29-31
The text calls Benjamin his own mother's son, the one man in the room who shares Rachel with Joseph. Rachel died bearing this boy at 35:18, and Joseph has not seen him since. His first words to Benjamin are a blessing, God be gracious to you, my son.

Moved translates a Hebrew phrase for compassion growing warm, and the word for compassion is rachamim. Jacob prayed at verse 14 that God would grant his sons rachamim before the man. The prayer is answered in this room.
