And so the prophet slides into a prediction of the kingdom of Christ, which should be set up in the world with God's tabernacle in it, and of the glories and graces of that kingdom,

on Ezekiel 37:21-24
The scattered are gathered into “one nation in the land”, under one king and never again divided, and cleansed: “they will be My people, and I will be their God”. The king is named, “My servant David”, with “one shepherd for all of them”, the promise of 34:23 returned. The Targum and the older writers read the Messiah of David's line here, as the church reads John 10's shepherd, and a few look for a literal David raised.
