The oil of 30:22 to 33 changes the status of the tent, its furnishings, the altar and the basin. The altar of burnt offering is called most holy, the one anointed piece standing in the open courtyard where the people came.

Anoint the basin and its stand
The basin comes third in the anointing, after the tabernacle and the altar. Exodus 30:26-28 lists the basin and its stand among the things the oil was to touch, and John Gill points to that passage. Leviticus 8:11 records the anointing of the basin.
