on 2 Kings 14:15-16
The notice of Jehoash's acts, his might, and his war with Amaziah repeats 13:12-13 nearly word for word. Jehoash rests with his fathers, and his son Jeroboam, the second king to bear Jeroboam's name, takes the throne. The repetition closes Jehoash's own record before the chapter returns to finish Amaziah's.

Jehoash reigned sixteen years, by 13:10, as the third king of the house of Jehu. John Gill named his son Jeroboam the second, to set him apart from Jeroboam son of Nebat. The son would reign forty-one years.
