When Mahalalel was 65 years old
on Genesis 5:15-20
Mahalalel is the fifth from Adam, Jared the sixth, and Enoch the seventh. Jude 14 names Enoch the seventh from Adam when he quotes his prophecy. The seventh from Adam in Cain's line is the other Lamech, who boasts at Genesis 4:23 of a man he killed.

Jared's 962 years are the second longest life in Scripture, behind his grandson Methuselah's 969. By the Hebrew numbers he died when Noah was 366. Adam Clarke called Methuselah's the longest life the Bible records.
