When Mahalalel was 65 years old
on Genesis 5:15-20
Mahalalel is the fifth from Adam, Jared the sixth, and Enoch the seventh. Jude 14 names Enoch the seventh from Adam when he quotes his prophecy. The seventh from Adam in Cain's line is the other Lamech, who boasts at Genesis 4:23 of a man he killed.

Mahalalel's sons and daughters go uncounted, and in 830 years one father's family could become a people. Genesis 6:1 describes that growth across the earth. Irenaeus traced how wickedness spread through the whole race of man.
