Ishmael lived a total of 137 years
on Genesis 25:17-18
Ishmael dies at 137 and is gathered to his people, the phrase used of his father nine verses earlier. His account closes with his descendants living in hostility toward all their brothers. That is the angel's word to Hagar at 16:12, in the same words. The word given beside a spring is reported as kept.
