5 notes on this verseI will see thy face again no more - It is very likely that this was the last interview that Moses had with Pharaoh, for what is related, Exo 11:4-8, might have been spoken on this very occasion, as it is very possible that God gave Moses to understand his purpose to slay the first-born, while before Pharaoh at this time; so, in all probability, the interview mentioned here was the last which Moses had with the Egyptian king.

Pharaoh ends the audience with a threat of death, see my face no more, and Moses takes the words as settled, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more. Chapter 11 verses 4 to 8 have Moses speaking to Pharaoh again and going out from him in a great anger, and readers differ over it: Adam Clarke takes those words as spoken at this same interview, while others read them as a later meeting. Either way the bargaining is over, and what comes next is announced to Pharaoh rather than negotiated with him.

Moses accepts Pharaoh's words and says he will never see his face again. The exchange closes the long series of warnings and broken promises between them. Adam Clarke suggests that the words of 11:4 to 8 may have been spoken at this same interview, which would make it the last meeting between Moses and Pharaoh.
