on 2 Samuel 24:18-23
That day Gad brings an instruction: “Go up and build an altar to the LORD on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite”. Araunah bows facedown before the king and offers the oxen for a burnt offering. He closes with a blessing, “May the LORD your God accept you”.

David went up, and John Gill has him climb from the lower city to Mount Moriah, where a threshing floor stood open to the wind. Caesarius of Arles notes that the chosen place belonged to a Gentile, Araunah the Jebusite. The king obeys at once, as the LORD had commanded.
