on Jeremiah 46:27-28
The oracle closes with comfort for Jacob, “do not be afraid”, words that recur almost exactly in 30:10-11. The difference is stated: “Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have banished you, I will not completely destroy you.” Israel will still be disciplined “justly.”
