Furthermore, those who believe in sacred Scripture have no doubt that he is one and not several. For the Lord says at the beginning of his lawgiving, "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt. You shall not have strange gods before me." And again: "Hear, O Israel: the Lord your God is one Lord."

You are My witnesses, and Israel is the exhibit in the trial. The claim the trial exists to prove follows, Before Me no god was formed. Verse 11 makes it absolute, I, yes I, am the LORD, and Calvin and Barnes note the doubled I as Hebrew emphasis.

Gill reads the title Savior in two senses, rescue from the present trouble in Babylon and an everlasting salvation. The gods of the nations could give neither. Gill sets the verse beside the New Testament's name for Jesus as Savior and takes it as evidence that Christ is God.

I, even I, am the Lord - The repetition of the pronoun ‘I’ makes it emphatic. The design is, to affirm that there was no other being to whom the name ‘Yahweh’ pertained.
