on Ezekiel 40:35-37
The inner north gate completes the third pair, matching the outer north gate, with the same measurements and eight steps. Three gates outside answer three gates inside on the same three sides, east, north, and south. For thirty verses one description has been repeated with only the direction changing.

And at each treasury there shall be a door in the gates (or fronts) of the doors: there they shall wash the holocaust.

"And he brought me to the gate which looked toward the North, and he measured according to the former measures, its chamber, and its front, and its vestibule." Those things also which were said concerning the South gate and the East gate are repeated in the same words also concerning the gate which looks toward the North. The converted Gentile world is designated by the North. For Heber himself, from whom the Hebrews are named, was chosen from among the Gentiles. The Gentile world existed before the Synagogue. But our Redeemer deigned to be born in human nature between Judea and the Gentile world, because He came both at the end of the Synagogue and before the beginning of the Church, which He gathered from the Gentiles.

That is, of the inner court, for he had measured before the north gate that led to the outward court, Eze 40:20, and here the little chambers, posts, arches, and steps, in all things agree with those of the other gates: what were observed in it different from the rest, an account is given of it in the following verse.
The work of grace, and its workings, are the same, for substance, in grown Christians that they are in young beginners, only that the former have got so much nearer their perfection. The faith of all the saints is alike precious, though it be not alike strong.
