on 1 Chronicles 24:14-19
The roster runs to its twenty-fourth lot, Maaziah. Verse 19 closes it with a claim, that the order follows Aaron's regulations, “as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him”. A few of these course names return in Ezra's list of priests who came back from exile.

Pethahiah draws the nineteenth lot and Jehezkel the twentieth. Matthew Henry, on verse 5, points to Acts 1:26, where Matthias was chosen for the apostleship by lot, with prayer.
