on 1 Chronicles 24:14-19
The roster runs to its twenty-fourth lot, Maaziah. Verse 19 closes it with a claim, that the order follows Aaron's regulations, “as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded him”. A few of these course names return in Ezra's list of priests who came back from exile.

Hezir draws the seventeenth lot and Happizzez the eighteenth. Albert Barnes, on verse 5, notes that both houses had supplied officers of the highest class, so neither was given preference in the draw.
