The first lot fell to Jehoiarib

on 1 Chronicles 24:7-13

The lot gives “the eighth to Abijah”, and Luke 1:5 names Zechariah as a priest of the division of Abijah. Zechariah was serving his division's turn in the temple when Gabriel met him, so this roster dates the opening scene of the New Testament.

This site's exposition

the thirteenth to Huppah

Huppah draws the thirteenth lot and Jeshebeab the fourteenth. Adam Clarke, on verse 6, says the drawing went by turns, one family of Eleazar and then one of Ithamar, until all were placed.
