Jerahmeel's branch runs in bare names, and the notice that a son died without children marks a line that goes no further. It ends in Sheshan, and Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters. Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, an Egyptian, and she bore Attai.

Jether died without children
Jada's elder son Jether left no heirs, so his branch passes through his brother Jonathan. Seled's line ended the same way in verse 30. The Chronicler records the gap.
