on Leviticus 7:1-7
Chapters 4 and 5 treated the sin and guilt offerings apart, and verse 7 puts them under one law. The fat is burned, and every male among the priests eats the rest in a holy place.

The priest burns the fat parts on the altar as an offering made by fire. Matthew Henry, on verse 6, sets out the order. Once the blood and fat were offered to God to make atonement, the priests ate the flesh.
