on Leviticus 8:33-35
Seven days at the door, day and night, with the sacrifices of the first day repeated on each of them. Verse 34 says the purpose of the whole business was to make an atonement for you, so the men who will make atonement for Israel had it made for them first, which is the point Hebrews 5:3 presses. Verse 35 gives the reason for staying, that ye die not, and the warning stands here before anything has gone wrong.

Seven days - In each of which the same ceremonies were to be repeated, and other rites to be performed. He - Either God or Moses; for the words may be spoken by Moses, either in God's name or in his own; Moses speaking of himself in the third person, which is very common in scripture.
He - Either Moses, as in the following clause, or some other person by his appointment; which may be the reason why he is not named here, as he is to the sprinkling of the blood, which was an action more proper to the priest, and more essential to the sacrifice.
And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days,.... Which was the time of their consecration, so long it lasted; and they had provision enough every day from the ram of consecration, whose flesh they were to boil and eat.
Being consecrated to their service, they must give themselves wholly to it, and attend continually to this very thing. Thus Christ's apostles were appointed to wait for the promise of the Father, Acts i. During this time appointed for their consecration, they were daily to repeat the same sacrifices which were offered the first day,

During the whole of that period the same sacrificial rites were observed as on the first day, and they were expressly admonished that the smallest breach of any of the appointed observances would lead to the certain forfeiture of their lives [Le 8:35].
