Eleven lay houses follow, each with its own count, beginning with Eliehoenai of Pahath-Moab and 200 men. Pahath-Moab, Adin and Elam also stand in Ezra 2 and Nehemiah 7, where the numerals differ. The difference is traced to copyists or to two stages of one register, with no verdict given.

The word later marks these men off from the house of Adonikam that came first, 666 men by the count of Ezra 2:13. Three leaders share this company of 60. Bigvai at verse 14 has two, and each other house of the roll has one.
