The calendar closes with two pilgrim feasts, the Passover and the feast of the seventh month. Each lasts seven days, with the prince's own sin offering “for himself and for all the people of the land.” Gill notes the vision restores the appointed times the law already named.

Numbers 28:19 to 24 required two bulls, one ram and seven lambs each day, while here the prince brings seven bulls and seven rams. The number matches the feast's seven days. Such changes from the law of Moses are one reason readers debate whether this ritual is meant literally.
