For the breastpiece, make braided chains like cords of pure gold

on Exodus 28:22-28

Seven verses go on fastening, and the reason comes last, that the breastplate not come loose from the ephod. Rings at the top and bottom, chains to the shoulder settings and a blue cord hold it at four points. The chapter spends more words securing the piece than describing it.
