on 2 Kings 22:6-7
The money pays three trades, "the carpenters, builders, and masons." Verse 7 asks for no accounting "since they work with integrity," the same terms used of Joash's overseers at 2 Kings 12:15. The repeated formula makes faithful stewardship the standing rule for temple work across two very different reigns.

The Chronicler names four of the men at 2 Chronicles 34:12, the Levites Jahath, Obadiah, Zechariah and Meshullam, as Albert Barnes points out. Matthew Henry praised the workmen for their integrity. He thought an account of the money put into their hands would have shown their honesty to all.
