Psalm 119's twenty-two eight-verse stanzas run straight through the Hebrew alphabet. It is a pattern you can see: any reader who knows the alphabet can verify it, no statistics are involved, and it is plainly the author's design. It stands beside the letter-sequence claims to mark the line between seeing a pattern and being persuaded of one.
The critique, at full strength
None needed, and that is the point of the entry. An alphabetic acrostic is visible: any reader who knows the Hebrew alphabet can verify all twenty-two stanzas without a statistic, and every critical commentary discusses the structure. Its presence on a contested-claims registry is contrastive - it is the control case that lets a reader feel the difference between a pattern the author built and a pattern an algorithm found. The only honest caution is against over-reading the device: the acrostic signals completeness and aids memorisation; it carries no hidden layer of doctrine.
