Whoever eats from the carcass must wash his clothes
Eating a carcass carries the same light penalty as carrying one, washing and waiting until evening. John Wesley assumes the man ate it unknowingly. Eating it knowingly, he says, broke Deuteronomy 14:21 and brought the penalty of being cut off.
