He removed the foreign gods and the idol
on 2 Chronicles 33:15-16
Manasseh removes “the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD” and dumps the altars “outside the city”. He restores the altar, sacrifices “peace offerings and thank offerings”. None of this reform appears in 2 Kings 21, which ends his account with the oracle of doom.

Peace offerings and thank offerings were eaten in part by the one who brought them, as Leviticus 7:11 to 15 sets out. The restored altar became a place of fellowship again. Adam Clarke calls this the fruit of real repentance.
