Six Levitical houses are mustered by name and number, 862 men in all, under Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel and Amminadab. Kohath's line supplies four of the six heads, since the ark was a Kohathite charge under Numbers 4, while Gershom and Merari each supply one.

from the Uzzielites, Amminadab the
Uzziel was a son of Kohath (Exodus 6:18), and Elizaphan's house in verse 8 also comes from him. This Amminadab is a Levite, a different man from Amminadab of Judah, whose daughter married Aaron (Exodus 6:23). The six chiefs lead 862 men in all.
